JUNIPER 2022 Crossing Range Red Blend

The blend is 88.5% Cabernet Sauvignon 11% Merlot & 0.5% Petit Verdot. ABV: 14%
The varieties were fermented separately in a mix of open & closed fermenters & spent between eight to 21 days on skins. Further aging in oak in separate batches took place until blending. Aged for a minimum of 12 months in both French barriques & hogsheads of which 5% were new. Bright crimson in colour. The bouquet bounds from the glass with cassis & blackberry, framed by cocoa powder & vanilla. The palate is expansive with plum & redcurrant fruit to the fore with hints of cedar & crushed spice, intense yet elegant. Lovely length & fine grainy texture, classically Margaret River.
